A UNIQUE FUNERAL FOR A UNIQUE PERSON

The funeral for Tim Took place at 1pm on September 23rd 2005 and it was a truly beautiful and unique event. Tim and Jane have an oak tree in the centre of their paddock and Tims coffin was laid on a pedastal underneath it. Nearby his motorcycles were placed next to each other. When Tim was brought in, all motorcycles were started and they roared in respect and salute to Tim. It was a very moving and wonderful moment for all but especially to Jane and Tim's family.

There were so many family, close friends and aquaintances that attended for the final farewell. There were at least 250 persons paying their respects and giving Jane and the family their support. The service was a beautiful tribute to Tim and all did him proud. The service was kept light hearted as Tim would have wanted but also with deep respect for Tim and the occasion. When Tim was led away, once again his bikes roared and I believe there wasn't a dry eye to be found.

SOME VINTAGE BIKES FROM TIM'S RACING CAREER WERE ON DISPLAY

A display of his photographs and trophys was set up for all to see and walking into the tent really took your breath away. Cups and trophys were numerous and the display of photos depicted his life through childhood to adulthood. All the tribues to date were placed in a folder with many others that the family has personally recieved.

As a mark of respect, his company vehicles were present also.

Tim was a unique person with unique qualities such as love, kindness, humility to name just a few. He was very highly thought of by everyone and had a special place in their hearts and always will do. There will never be enough words to express the kind of person he was. He is sorley missed by everyone, not only in the business world but also amongst his dear family and friends.

Most in attendance were able to stay back and celebrate his life the way he lived it.

MANSBRIDGE & BALMENT (Estate Agents, Tavistock)
I had the priviledge of knowing and working with Tim for at least 15 years. Like everyone at Mansbridge & Balment I had the utmost respect for his professionalism, his knowledge and his total honesty.
I have been questioned by my clients over the years as to why I only recommend one name for timber and damp reports and quotes "because there is only one" was my stock reply. We will all miss terribly his friendship, good humour and zest for life. A GOOD MAN

My wife and I have known Tim for a number of years now, and we can't say how much this has shocked us, we knew him to be a good mate, generous with his time and always willing to lend a hand. I went to numerous race meetings with him, ( must have been good mates to have slept in his van at race meetings after both consuming a few beers and still talking in the morning... he blamed my feet (not true) I blamed his flatulance!!!!!!), I cannot express what a void in our lives his passing will leave, but ALL good memories of a man we were(are) proud to have called a friend.
our deepest sympathies to Jane and Tim's family.
